The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) is an autonomous parastatal under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. It is an internationally accredited examinations board, with syllabuses evaluated by the National Academic Recognition and Information Centre (NARIC) in the UK. These syllabuses have been found equivalent to the General Certificate of Education standards offered in countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, ensuring that the qualifications conferred by ZIMSEC are internationally recognized.
